First Sign of Winter

It's that time of year again: Our gorgeous scenery has changed from bright, beautiful fall foliage to our majestic mountains blanketed in white.  We had a bit of snow Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and again on Monday. The storm on Monday brought blankets of white from Gunnison up to Crested Butte. If this storm is a sign of what is to come this winter, all us locals who love our winter sports are in for a treat!

Think snow!

Crested Butte Music Festival Update

When the leaves start to slowly turn green and the trees blossom, you know the Crested Butte Music Festival (CBMF) is just around the corner!

This year's lineup is shaping up to be the best yet.

You especially won't want to miss this year's artist-in-residence, Eddie Daniels.  One of the rarest of rare musicians, this renaissance musician who is a genius at both jazz and classical music.  Not only will he be performing on clarinet with his jazz quartet at the Celebration, but will also be showcased as both a soloist with the Festival Symphony Orchestra and as a chamber musician in Brahms' famous clarinet quintet.

I look forward to seeing you all this summer.

Sincerely,

Alexander Scheirle
Artistic and Managing Director
