Cristiana Guesthaus

Cristiana Guesthaus, a cozy bed and breakfast lodge, is the perfect lodging choice for your Crested Butte vacation. Conveniently located just one block north of Elk Avenue and the main business district, the lodge is a short walk to shops and restaurants and about 50 yards from the free shuttle to Crested Butte Mountain and to the Nordic ski center.
Built in the early 1960s as the first lodge for the new ski area, the Cristiana owes its heritage to the ski lodges of Europe.
A large stone fireplace in the cozy lobby invites guests to sit back, relax, and relive the day’s adventures - whether on the ski slopes or exploring the surrounding mountains.
Our comfortable rooms have private bathrooms and are individually furnished with comforters, pine furniture, and rocking chairs. We offer a choice of reasonably priced smaller rooms with one queen bed, or larger rooms with one queen and one double bed or one queen bed with a sofa sleeper. All rooms have telephones with data ports.
The lodge also has a sauna, sitting area with television, and bike/ski storage.
For the comfort of our guests smoking is not permitted in the lodge or the guest rooms and we do not accept pets.
On the north side of the lodge our outdoor hot tub offers a great spot to unwind with its beautiful views of Crested Butte Mountain and the Elk Mountain Range, whilst the south facing sundeck is an ideal place to watch the sun set over town.

Each morning we serve a generous continental breakfast featuring our m granola and muesli or hot oatmeal, fresh fruit, and a delicious selection of freshly baked pastries, along with juices, coffee, a selection of teas, and other hot drinks.
Guest may also help themselves to complimentary hot beverages throughout the day.
During ski season we set out freshly baked cookies for a tempting apres ski snack.

Your hosts, Rosemary and Martin Catmur, have called Crested Butte home since 1988 and have developed a thorough knowledge of the area. You will find us happy to help with hiking, biking, and skiing plans. We enjoy downhill and Nordic skiing in winter and in summer are keen hikers, bikers and trail runners. Rosemary’s rock garden, which blooms each summer in front of the lodge, has won several awards in the annual Wildflower Festival.
