
Paragon Art Gallery People's FairParagon People's FairArt at AltitudeEach year, hundreds of locals and visitors stroll Crested Butte's Elk Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to take in the homespun cultural experience of The People's Fair and to soak in the last of the high country summer for the year. Food booths will be located next to the Company Store, across from the music venue at the corner of Elk Avenue and Third Street. Live music will begin at noon.
Labor Day Weekend, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. the Paragon Art Gallery of Crested Butte will host the 20th Annual People's Fair, Arts and Crafts plus a whole lot more! If you haven't been to Crested Butte to experience the People's Fair then you haven't seen this awesome town at it's finest! For the past 18 years the artists of the Paragon Gallery have hosted the this annual event, an eclectic mix of 60-70 booth selling unique regional arts and crafts, collectibles and antiques, preserved food from local gardens, music, and more in a fun, family oriented environment. Reasonably priced items make this fair affordable for everyone and a must for treasure hunters! Always a big attraction at the fair is the vast selection of music CDs on sale from $.50 to raise money for public radio station, KBUT. Crested Butte Friends of the Library's have their annual book sale ... over 200 sq ft of winter reading material! Thanks to the efforts of The High Country Citizen's Alliance staff and volunteers, you will have to attend the fair to find the best bake sale in the county! Other non-profits will also be on hand providing information on a variety of topics, as well as raising money for their causes. Gunnison Valley Non Profit organizations are offered 1 booth for free, call for information.
