Ice Fishing
Kokonne Salmon, Rainbows, Browns and Mackinaw Trout can all be caught in the winter on Blue Mesa Lake and on Taylor Lake.

Ice Hockey and Ice Skating
It doesn't matter where you are from, winter and some kind of Ice Skating are synonymous. While Curling hasn't quite caught on yet, ice hockey and skating are alive and well in the Gunnison Valley. For the extreme Speed Skaters there is also some fantastic skating on the State's largest Lake, Blue Mesa and inside the Back Canyon of the Gunnison. Ice Rink Info

Tubing & Sledding
The fun out-lasts the ski lifts as the tubing hill opens just after 4pm. This supervised activity is one not to be missed, and can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.
