Crested Butte Nordic Center

The Crested Butte Nordic Center is a world-class destination Nordic ski area that offers loads of fun for all ages and abilities! A full-service cross-country ski center, we offer ski and snowshoe rentals, lessons, clinics, guided tours, and a robust Calendar of Events for 2011/12.  We groom 55 kilometers of trails for classic and skate skiing, as well as snowshoeing. Terrain varies from flats in the valleys to rolling hills and steeps at the base of the mountains. Come meander along the Slate River, circle Peanut Lake in the morning light, or traverse along the base of Mount Crested Butte with spectacular views of Paradise Divide in the distance.

We also offer unique fine dining at our Magic Meadows Yurt. Join us for a Sunday brunch, moonlight dinner, or our ever-popular New Year’s Eve dinner and party.  Ski or snowshoe on your own or with a guide through the winter wonderland to the yurt where you’ll find a warm fire and a fine meal waiting for you.

For a change of pace, try renting skates and get on the Town Ice Rink adjacent to our facility or take sleds down the neighboring sledding hill.

The Nordic Center is dog friendly! Take your furry friend skiing on our 10k of dog trails, including Mike’s Mile--our newest trail heading out along the Slate River beyond Pooch’s Paradise.
